p680flairProject 680 belongs to all of us. This is a grassroots team effort to do something about a local problem - homelessness among students. Residents, neighborhoods, churches and businesses throughout the Sacramento area have taken charge with this effort and shown support. This effort is being steared by some residents in the Cordova Towne Neighborhood of Rancho Cordova as well as members of Socks & Gloves (a homeless outreach) and several resident leaders throughout the City of Rancho Cordova.

In our initial sock drive in 2008, we saw the following organizations and businesses participate in our efforts: City of Rancho Cordova Employees, Cordova Church of Christ, Cordova Neighborhood Church, Cordova Towne Neighborhood Association, Grapevine Independent, Hubbert Systems, LP Caregiver Specialists, Peter J. Shields Elementary School, Mrs. Queenan’s 5th Grade Class, Rancho Cordova Post, Rancho Cordova Women’s Book Club, Socks & Gloves, Soroptimist Organization of Rancho Cordova, State of California Web Support Office, & Sunriver Neighborhood Association.

We are proud to see how residents, local businesses, churches, and groups are finding simple ways to respond and be involved. If you are interested in getting involved, please let us know.
