Neighborhood Meeting: THIS MONDAY
A quick reminder that our neighborhood planning meeting is coming up on THIS Monday, November 12, 2007. All residents in the neighborhood are invited and encouraged to attend. It will be at 3239 Portsmouth Drive between 6:30-8:30pm. Dinner is free (pizza, salad, and drinks). If you have not yet let us know that you are coming, please do so if you are able to, so that we can plan best. Otherwise, just show up.
At the meeting we will discuss:
1. Neighborhood Needs: What do you think the neighborhood needs? What are the felt needs of residents on your street or in your part of the neighborhood?
2. Organization: We will talk about some simple ways for us to be organized in order to have maximum impact as an Association. Having some specific roles and also committees will be a huge plus. For example, there has been so much talk about White Rock Park and the need to communicate with the Park district in order to help promised renovations move along. Well, we need a committee of people to help get the ball rolling then. There is power and growth when we come together with common vision and then invite other residents to take action. We have had some great successes since we began. Now it is time to take things to the next level.
3. Events: We will get some events on the calender for 2008. These events will be geared toward meeting our goals and building community within the neighborhood. There are already so many tremendous ideas, so let’s talk about what we will focus on doing. Be thinking about what you think the neighborhood needs and what types of creative things we can do to help build relationship. Events can be big or small.
